Hello, my name is
Mrs. Shana Kinnison. The purpose for this web site is to inform
parents/students about my program, answer some frequently asked
questions and have some fun along the way.
Special
Education has changed from when you and I went to school. It is not a
program that needs to be "whispered" about. It is used as a "resource"
for students to encourage them to be successful in and out of the
classroom. This is why I commonly refer to my position as a "Resource
Teacher" instead of a "Special Ed. Teacher."
Our program is individualized for each student to meet their
specified needs. It's all about each student's specific learning style
and how we can incorporate that into an enjoyable way of learning.
School is meant to be an exciting and fun place to be....and that is
what I hope to bring to each student that is in my program.
