$4000 Scholarship
Started by a family with a vision to make a difference in the lives of young people.  Many scholarships are won by high-achievers whose long and exemplary record is rewarded.  The vision for this scholarship is to reach students who truly  have a financial need.  Moreover, it seeks to reward those students who have endured much, overcome many obstacles, and who trials in life have focused their vision for their future.  These are the students we seek to help.

Open to incoming Freshman, 2nd semester Freshman, or Sophomore enrolled in Agricultural program.  Selection is based upon outstanding merit and achievement, demontrated golas and aptitude towards agricultural and/or safety industry in Nebraska, and financial need.

Gates Millennium Scholars Program
launched with a $1 billion grant from the Bill & Melinda Grates Foundation, is designed to reduce financial barriers and increase the number of African-American , American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian- and Pacific  Islander- American, and Hispanic-American students enrolling in and completing undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

Foundation Scholarship
(Chet Linder Memorial Scholarship)
It is recommended that the applicant intend to major in business or a business-related field. At least one scholarship winner will be awarded to an applicant intending to attend a Nebraska accredited college or university. Scholarships are not awarded until the recipient completes one full year of college with continued evidence of scholastic application and achievement.

Jack Cramer Scholarship
In conjunction with the NATA's Secondary School Athletic Trainers Committee, one two thousand dollar ($2000) scholarship will be awarded annually to a deserving high school senior who is planning to embark on a career as a certified athletic trainer in a high school setting. The award will be paid directly to the institution that provides an approved curriculum that enables the candidate to sit for the Board of Certification examination.Please follow the following instructions carefully. The Jack Cramer Scholarship application is an on-line process with multiple components. Only complete applications will be reviewed.

Sponsored by the Nebraska Coaches Association and the Farm Bureau
Insurance  Company, this scholarship is for the athlete that
participated 2 years in 2 sports, earned a Varsity Letter in 2 sports, and

Nebraska Actuarial  Science Scholarships
Two $4000 scholarships and one $1000  will be awarded to students entering one of
the three University of Nebraska  campuses.
The NIF and the NAC are jointly offering these scholarships to high school seniors interested in Actuarial Science who are planning to major in a Math or Actuarial Science field at a Nebraska College beginning in the fall.

Nebraska Crop Improvement Association Freshman Yr. Scholarship
Students applying for the Nebraska Crop Improvement Freshman Scholarships must be a new student enrolling at the University of Nebraska.  They must possess a strong interest in agriculture and the seed industry.  Student must be enrolled in a degree program offered by the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture.

This is awarded to studnts from Omaha and surrounding area high schools who have demonstrated outstanding leadership ability as recognized by faculty, parent and peers.  Demonstrated leadership through activitirs in high school and the community will be the primary criterio.  Academic achievement, while important, will not be the major factor in determining eligibility.

Scott Mechan BBB Student of  Integrity Award Scholarship
The Better Business Bureau Foundation of the Better Business Bureau, Inc., serving Nebraska, South Dakota, and Southwest Iowa proudly announces it inaugural year for the Scott Mecham BBB Student of Integrity Awards scholarship program.  This award has been established to honor the memory of Scott Mecham who served as the Better Business Bureau President from 1991 - January 2006, when he died unexpectedly.
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize high school juniors or seniors who personify the values that Mr. Mecham  exemplified in his life; trust, fairness, leadership, community service, humility, courage, compassion and respect.  These are the core values of the BBB.
One $2000 scholarship to an accredited post-secondary school/college will be presented to a student from each of the following areas: 
    * Omaha Metro Area or SW Iowa
    * Lincoln Metro Area or Greater Nebraska
    * South Dakota

Sorghum Producers Assoc. Scholarships
The Nebraska Grain Sorghum Producers Association is again offering a $400 scholarship to a graduating high school senior or to a student  currently enrolled in post-high school education.
To qualify, the student must plan to pursue a course of study in preparation for a career in agriculture or an ag-related field.  If the applicant is currently enrolled in college, hi/her studies must be ag-oriented.  The applicants parents or guardian must be a member of the Nebraska Grain Sorghum Producers Assoc.

Walmart Foundation Scholarships:
Walmart Associate Scholarship

Available to high school/home school seniors graduating between August 1 and July 31 or students who have obtained their GED and would have graduated high school between Aug 1 and July 31.
Must be actively employed with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., for at least six consecutive months as of April 25.  Click on above link to get the particulars.
