* Prior to graduation, students must earn credit for one semester of American Literature and one semester of English Literature.
| COURSE SELECTION GUIDELINES | | 1. All students, unless
previously arranged with the principal and counselor, must be scheduled
for at least seven (7) classes each semester. | | 2. All students are encouraged
to select a program of study that will be a challenge to their
intellectual capacity, as well as preparing them for
their chosen vocation. | | 3. All students are required to consult with their parents so a mutual understanding of needs will exist. | | 4. All students are encouraged to make full use of the school’s facilities and to consult with their teachers and counselor. | | 5. It is the policy of the
Nebraska City High School to be in compliance with Title IX: Section A requirements. Enrollment of students into
classes is not based on sex, race, or disabilities. | | 6. Students who fail courses
will have their educational program reviewed by teachers, counselor and
the principals to determine which courses will be repeated. | | 7. A course will not be offered if there is not sufficient interest and enrollment to justify it. |
