Cell Phones and Electronics
CELL PHONES/ELECTRONICS Students may not use cell
phones/electronics at all during class times. All cell phones or
electronic devices must be off and out of sight during all class times,
in all locations, and in all operating modes. Cell
phone/electronics use is only permissible during lunch. First
violation of the policy will result in the cell phone or electronic
device being taken by the staff member and given to the
office. The student may claim the item after school from
the administration and a call will be made to the parents. Any
second violation will be considered a Level 3 Offense with the minimum
of a 1 day ISS assigned. At any time a student does not comply
with the policy or staff directives the situation will be handled as a
Level 4 Offense. Electronics will include but not be limited to
i-pods, MP3 Players, headsets, CD players, and radios. In the
occurrence of an emergency parents may call the school office and a
message will be delivered immediately.
