Student Attire and Grooming
STUDENT ATTIRE AND GROOMING The school administration,
teachers, and parents will continue to encourage all to behave and
dress in a fashion that reflects good taste and a style appropriate for
a school day or school activity. An individual’s dress, personal
appearance and cleanliness, as well as behavior should reflect
sensitivity to and a respect for others. The fact that a school
will permit a wide variety in school clothes does not mean that all
styles are equally appropriate. The main purpose of school
is education. Therefore, any attire that disrupts the educational
process will not be permitted. The final decision in any
situation in question will be resolved by the school
administration. The student dress code will extend to all
dances. Provisions shall be made for formal dance attire but will
still be expected to be appropriate and in good taste.
In addition to the above guidelines, the school administration will not
approve the following items and/or methods of grooming. This list
is not inclusive of all items that may be excluded.
