NSAA Eligibility
NSAA Eligibility
All participants must meet all requirements for eligibility as
determined by the Nebraska City High School and the sponsoring or
governing organization (such as the Nebraska School Activities
Association). According to rules established by the Nebraska
School Activities Association, you are ineligible to compete in any
competitive activity between schools if:
- You were 19 years of age before August 1st.
- You have attended school more than eight semesters (9-12).
- You were not enrolled in school by the 11th day of school.
- You were not in school the immediate preceding semester.
- You did not pass in 20 semester hours of credit the immediate preceding semester.
- You are not currently taking 20 semester hours of credit.
- You have graduated from high school.
- You participate in any contest other than as a representative of
your school during the season of the sport involved. The season
is defined as the opening day of practice for that sport.
- You play on an all-star team during the school year.
- You have changed schools without parents changing residence.
- Your parents have changed their residence to another school
district and you have remained in your present school (EXCEPTION-If
your parents have moved after school has started, you will be eligible
to complete the current school year.). Check the NSAA Yearbook
for the definition of legal residence.
- You participate in a contest under an assumed name.
