Criteria for Being a Class Officer

CRITERIA FOR BEING A CLASS OFFICER

To be considered for a position as a Class Officer a student must:

  1. Have a GPA of 2.0.  Incoming freshmen would require the equivalent.  Get two (2) letters of recommendation from teachers (incoming freshmen will have to get these letters from 8th grade teachers).  
  2. Write a one-hundred word essay stating why you would be a class officer.  It would have to be read by and meet with the approval of a majority of the Faculty Review Committee.
  3. During homeroom, about 2 weeks into the school year, each class will meet, students will then vote by ballot for Class officer elections.
  4. Follow the rules as established in the Activities section of the Student-Parent Handbook.  A student could forfeit the above positions if:

**Language or conduct unbefitting a student leader may be cause for review or possible removal from office by the above FACULTY REVIEW COMMITTEE.
    
**That leader does not maintain a GPA of 2.0.  This will be determined by quarter grades.
