Criteria for Being a Class Officer
CRITERIA FOR BEING A CLASS OFFICER
To be considered for a position as a Class Officer a student must:
- Have a GPA of 2.0. Incoming freshmen would require the
equivalent. Get two (2) letters of recommendation from teachers
(incoming freshmen will have to get these letters from 8th grade
teachers).
- Write a one-hundred word essay stating why you would be a class
officer. It would have to be read by and meet with the approval
of a majority of the Faculty Review Committee.
- During homeroom, about 2 weeks into the school year, each class
will meet, students will then vote by ballot for Class officer
elections.
- Follow the rules as established in the Activities section of the
Student-Parent Handbook. A student could forfeit the above
positions if:
**Language or conduct unbefitting a student leader may be cause for
review or possible removal from office by the above FACULTY REVIEW
COMMITTEE.
**That leader does not maintain a GPA of 2.0. This will be determined by quarter grades.
