1 reading classes provide help in reading skills. Students spend
time in small groups learning to become fluent in reading. We
become word detectives and look for clues that will help us read the
word. We also use picture and content clues to help us figure out
which word would make sense in the sentence we are reading. As
students become better at reading they enjoy finding new books to
read. They discover that reading is fun and that it opens the
door to the world! They can learn about anything!
One of the most important gifts that you can give to your child is the gift of time.
Please take the time to
read to your child. Talk to your child about their school day and
the exciting things that they have learned. They will remember
these special moments together.
