In mid December they will designate approximately 2000 semifinalists. These students will be required to complete additional candidacy materials (biographical questionnaire, essays, recommendations and transcripts) by January. In March 250 finalists will be notified and invited to Atlanta for interviews in April, during which time fifty students will be awarded $20,000 scholarships and 200 will be awarded $4,000 scholarships.
