 Southeast Community College will be hosting an all college open house on Sunday September 7 at all three campuses from 11 A.M. to 4 P.M.- Mark your calendar to explore!
HTRS Youth Leadership invites everyone that would like to participate in this group for the 2008-2009 school year to come to the student/parent Kick Off at the beach side of Kirkman's Cove at 6:30 p.m. or following the sports practices. Each family is asked to bring a meat/casserole dish and one other item for their family. Table service and beverages will be provided - - Make plans to be there and start the year off great!
Tips From Parents Who Have Been There
We asked parents to share their advice on the financial aid process, based on their experiences with their children. Here's what they said:
"Keep a file folder with each piece of correspondence in it. That way you have a paper trail. Every time a new loan, grant or financial aid comes in, you may receive a revised bill."
"Make sure you know all the hidden costs of going to college including food plans, parking stickers, dorm fees and extracurricular activity fees."
"Keep copies of everything!"
