- individual inch and centimeter rulers
- gummy worm worksheet
- work sheet transparencies
- sacked gummy worms.

Preparation/Introduction:
Reading of Inch Worm Helps Out sparks interest in concept of measure.
Instructional Method:
Teacher models to students the differences and uses of inch and centimeter rulers to measure their gummy worms. Cooperative learning in small groups is encouraged to measure and record measurements of worms.
